Blue Skies Cafe & Bar

A contemporary cafe-bar celebrating the vibrant flavours and timeless heritage of Indian-inspired Singaporean cuisine.

Welcome to Blue Skies

At Blue Skies, every dish is a memory retold. A quiet echo of home, of heritage, of the kitchens that raised me.

It began with Patti’s Kitchen - the hum of Sunday afternoons, the crackle of spices meeting hot oil, the laughter that lingered between ladles and stories. From those weekends came Mum’s Nasi Lemak - never a simple dish, but one that always asked for love. It was more than a meal; it was a gathering across generations, where the soul of Indian cooking met the evolving flavours of Singapore and Malaysia.

Over the years, the table grew — a place where tradition learned to dance with change. The warmth of turmeric and curry leaf found harmony with butter, cream, and Western technique.

This café is where those worlds meet again - where the familiar becomes new, and the modern still tastes like memory. Every plate carries a story, every flavour a trace of where we’ve been, and who we’ve loved.

Great food and drinks start with ingredients that reflect our values. We specially source items that promote inclusivity, are ethically produced, sustainably harvested, and organically grown - and we proudly highlight these choices in our menu.

From organic tea leaves picked in the foothills of the world's third highest mountain, to fresh local cage-free eggs, every ingredient tells a story. We use freshly picked mushrooms that champion inclusivity and sustainably cultivated vanilla beans, ensuring every bite and sip aligns with our dedication to a better planet and community.

Our Location

You'll find us tucked into a quiet stretch of Rowell Road, on the ground floor of a 1940s shophouse, just a stone's throw away from Jalan Besar MRT, Rochor MRT, Little India MRT and Farrer Park MRT. Once part of old Singapore's bustling trade and textile district, Rowell has always been a crossroads of culture.

Today, the neighbourhood hums with character. It's where tradition meets grit, where temples, tailors and old provision shops sit alongside creatives, cafes and independent spirits.

Our space reflects the charm of its surroundings: textured walls, Peranakan tiles, Bostwick gates, and the scent of something slow-cooked in the air. Whether you're strolling over from Jalan Besar, cycling down from Little India, or discovering us by accident-we're glad you found us.
